Workplace EV Charging Installers UK

For employers fitting staff car-park EV charging. 1132 OZEV-authorised commercial EV charging installers on the official GOV.UK list, filtered to those offering commercial work — independent, free, and rebuilt weekly.

Workplace EV charging is the most common commercial install in the UK and the one the Workplace Charging Scheme (WCS) was built for. The 1132 installers on this page are all OZEV-authorised for commercial work — which is the authorisation required to redeem a WCS voucher on your behalf.

OZEV does not sub-tag the public list by site type, so this page is filtered to every commercial OZEV-authorised installer. Shortlist three, give each your voucher reference, and compare quotes with the WCS line shown explicitly.

Typical workplace charging scope

  • Fast AC, 7–22 kW per socket — staff and visitor parking. 22 kW only delivers 22 kW when the supply is three-phase and the vehicle accepts it. Most fleet cars accept 11 kW AC; specifying 22 kW everywhere is usually over-spend.
  • Smart load management — even a 12-socket workplace can exceed an existing single-phase supply at peak.
  • OCPP-managed back-office — necessary for RFID access, group billing, salary-sacrifice reconciliation and switching software supplier without ripping the hardware out.

Workplace Charging Scheme — the headline rules

  • Up to £500 per socket, the rate in force since 1 April 2026 (was £350). The rate applies to installations completed on or after that date, regardless of voucher application date.
  • Capped at 75% of total purchase + installation cost.
  • Maximum 40 sockets per applicant, across all sites.
  • Scheme funded to 31 March 2027; no confirmed successor.
  • Claimed through your OZEV-authorised installer — the discount is applied to your invoice; the grant never touches your bank account.

What makes workplace different from depot or public

Workplace sites are staff/visitor parking — not customer parking (public-access retail bays are not WCS-eligible) and not depot bays (which are usually fleet-only and increasingly fit the Depot Charging Scheme instead). The installer's value-add is mostly grant administration plus load management — civils are typically modest because the supply already sits in a meter room a short trench away.

Questions to ask every workplace installer

  • Will you redeem the WCS voucher on the quote, with the discount shown as a separate line?
  • Is the quote OCPP-based with no software lock-in if I switch CPMS in year three?
  • What is the load-management strategy, and is it included?
  • What is the warranty period and on-site SLA?

Frequently asked questions

How much is the Workplace Charging Scheme worth in 2026?
Up to £350 per socket until 31 March 2026, then up to £500 per socket from 1 April 2026 — covering a maximum of 75% of total purchase and installation cost, capped at 40 sockets per applicant. The scheme is funded to 31 March 2027.
Do I have to use an OZEV-authorised installer for the WCS?
Yes. The voucher is redeemed through an OZEV-authorised installer, who applies the discount to your invoice. Every installer on this page is on the public GOV.UK OZEV authorised list at the most recent refresh.
Is customer parking eligible for the WCS?
No. The WCS is for staff and fleet off-street parking. Public-access bays at retail, hospitality and visitor car parks are not WCS-eligible — they are commercially funded.
How long does a workplace install take?
On an existing three-phase supply, a 12-socket workplace is typically 4–8 weeks from order to commissioning. On a single-phase supply or where load management is being added across an existing distribution board, allow 8–12 weeks.
Which kinds of organisations qualify for the WCS?
UK-registered businesses, charities and public-sector bodies with dedicated off-street parking for staff or fleet, where installation is by an OZEV-authorised installer. You must own the site or have landlord consent.
