This site republishes business listing information from the public GOV.UK OZEV authorised-installer tool (Open Government Licence v3.0) so buyers can find OZEV-authorised commercial installers — a public-interest aggregation the official tool does not provide in browsable form.
We deliberately do not publish scraped personal (firstname.lastname) or free-webmail email addresses as clickable links. Where only such an address exists, we show a “request a quote” route instead.
Legitimate interests (helping businesses find authorised installers; helping installers receive relevant enquiries), balanced against the limited, already-public nature of the data.
Any installer can have their listing corrected or removed, no questions asked, via the contact page. Requests are actioned on the next rebuild.
We send B2B emails to publicly-listed generic mailboxes (info@, sales@, office@, enquiries@, hello@, admin@, mail@, contact@) at UK limited companies and LLPs — typically to offer optional Featured-listing upgrades to businesses we already list for free.
Legal basis. PECR Regulation 22 corporate-subscriber exemption (B2B email to limited companies and LLPs does not require prior consent), combined with UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f) — legitimate interests in commercial communication with publicly-listed business contacts.
Legitimate-Interests Assessment (LIA) summary, in plain English:
Anyone who replies "remove", "unsubscribe",
"stop", or "opt out" — or whose listed email becomes
unreachable — is added to a suppression file (data/suppress.txt)
and is never contacted again.
Suppression takes effect within 24 hours. The suppression file is operator-only and is not shared with third parties.
Source data is the OZEV authorised-installer register, used under Open Government Licence v3.0. Personal email addresses scraped during enrichment are suppressed from both the public site and the public JSON/CSV exports.
Recipients have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office about how their personal data is handled.
